Denmark-USA Youth Debates: 2010-09-16

This program is open to qualified students in the ages of 17-20. Debates will cover international issues while creating a bilateral dialogue between Danish and American students in a people-to-people setting. Host families and cultural tours will available to enhance the experience. A major highlight of the debates will be a full day at the Danish parliament. Scholarship money is available. MUN experience is desirable. The debates are in English although some knowledge of the Danish language will be extremely useful.

BCMUN 2010 is a Model United Nations hosted in Tijuana, the biggest and most important international border in the world. This year we want to invite students from all over the world to experience life in the border and analyze the situation of different topics like migration, human rights, etc, that are experienced in this border every day, as well as topics that involve many other parts of the world. For this reason we include two Committees in English, the SC and the ICJ. We also have many cultural and recreational events prepared for delegates, to get to know the city and its history and enigmatic spots, and get to know all the delegates that will join us from different countries. My First MUN Training Conference: 2010-10-02

In its 7th year, "My First MUN" is a one-day training conference (Saturday, Oct. 2) hosted by the George C. Marshall High School MUN Club, Falls Church, VA, designed to introduce novice MUNers to the essential skills -- research, writing and public speaking -- that will enable them to do well at MUN conferences. Teachers and professionals lead the morning instructional sessions. In the afternoon, a partnership with the University of Virginia's International Relations Organization makes possible small group simulation sessions presided over by experienced UVA chairs. Registration includes all materials and lunch. Registration is limited to 250 delegates. A wait list is maintained. Schools from outside the Washington DC region are welcome. Hotel accommodations are within walking distance of the high school conference site. Information and registration information is available at the George C.
