About the Conference
In its 7th year, "My First MUN" is a one-day training conference (Saturday, Oct. 2) hosted by the George C. Marshall High School MUN Club, Falls Church, VA, designed to introduce novice MUNers to the essential skills -- research, writing and public speaking -- that will enable them to do well at MUN conferences. Teachers and professionals lead the morning instructional sessions. In the afternoon, a partnership with the University of Virginia's International Relations Organization makes possible small group simulation sessions presided over by experienced UVA chairs. Registration includes all materials and lunch. Registration is limited to 250 delegates. A wait list is maintained. Schools from outside the Washington DC region are welcome. Hotel accommodations are within walking distance of the high school conference site. Information and registration information is available at the George C.
